The City of Eternal Spring

Throughout Mexico in many areas it is already so hot by late spring that one would prefer to laze around all day. The situation is different in the central highlands, where the climate is pleasant year-round. In the colonial city of Guanajuato, located at an altitude of 2000m, I spent over a week alone in an Airbnb apartment writing my book. In the midst of this lively, bustling city full of students, my terrace provided the perfect contrast: it was quiet, airy, and shady there, and the picturesque views provided plenty of inspiration.
