Instant Companion

Arriving in a new place as a solo traveler, I am especially excited to make new acquaintances with people. In the accommodations, however, I sometimes get to know the household pets first, before even coming in contact with anyone else. They are used to strangers from all over the world and are often not afraid to rapidly establish close relationships with guests. A cat at my guesthouse in Chiang Khong curiously greeted me from the roof and instantly became a faithful playmate for the rest of my stay.
