Chicken Burrito

Chicken Burrito

The central market of Sibu in Malaysian Borneo is extremely worth seeing, not only due to the postmodern catastrophe housing it, but also the enormous variety of regional products that can be marveled at. As is so often the case with Asian markets, Europeans can find curiosities, some of which are shocking and take getting used to. Wrapped chicken squeezed into newspaper can be practical and fresh for costumers and though birds may show no signs of agony, I pity these animals. To counteract my disgust, I reminded myself that a western chicken of factory farming in no way has a better life than its rolled-up fellow in Borneo.
