Shared Joy

After eight months of travelling alone through the Asian continent, I met up with my boyfriend in Kathmandu. We took over a week to discover the treasures of the Kathmandu Valley. Patan, with it’s 2300 years of existence is the oldest city in the valley and was one of my favourite places. Unlike the bustling capital, the atmosphere there was extremely relaxing, and we were able to wander the ancient streets at our leisure, taking in the picturesque details of the magnificent city. A gleeful girl doing her homework in front of her mother’s store perfectly captured this mood for me. After the long period of solo travel, it was a wonderful feeling to share such special experiences with a familiar person.
